On October 19, Dr. Banafsheh Keynoush convened and moderated a roundtable event entitled The Near East: Iran’s Interregional Dynamics at The Sharmin and Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Iran and Persian Gulf Studies at Princeton University. Invited speakers to the roundtable included Dr. Michael Cook (Princeton University), Dr. Saeed Badeeb (Center for Research and Analysis, Saudi Arabia), Dr. Hamad H. Albloshi (Kuwait University), Dr. Abdullah Baabood (previously with Qatar University), Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker (Princeton University), Dr. Nursin A. Guney (Cyprus University), Dr. Ahmad Iravani (Center for the Study of Islam and the Middle East, US), Ambassador (Ret.) Seyed Hossein Mousavian (Princeton University), Dr. Özden Zeynep Oktav (Medeniyet Universitesi Akademik Veri Yonetim Sistemi, Turkey), and Professor Steven N. Simon (Amherst College). Invited guests to the roundtable included Senior Scholar Salam Fayyad (Princeton University), Dr. Michael Reynolds (Princeton University), Dr. Lindsey Stephenson (Princeton University), and Dr. Makio Yamada (Princeton University), as well as members of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center and Princeton University students. At the conclusion of the event, the findings from the roundtable were collected and will be made available in an analytical report written by the moderator and published by Princeton University in the Spring of 2019.
